Discover the educational environment and student support features that make Tokyo Waseda Foreign Language School unique.

01A School Founded on Christian Values

Our school was founded on Christian values. We cherish each student and foster an attitude of mutual understanding and learning. We aim not only to develop Japanese language proficiency, but also to nurture individuals with intellect, humanity, and sensitivity who can dedicate themselves to others and society in the international community.

02Learning in Shinjuku: Expanding Opportunities for Study and Life

Our main campus is located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, with convenient transportation and an easy commute.

The surrounding area has many universities, vocational schools, public facilities, and commercial establishments, making it an ideal location for students to prepare for life in Japan and higher education.

03Curriculum That Develops the Japanese Language Skills Needed for Higher Education

Our school places great importance on developing the Japanese language skills needed at universities, graduate schools, and vocational schools, so that students can continue learning after advancing. We have designed a curriculum with a balanced focus on grammar, reading, listening, writing, and speaking, while also preparing for the JLPT and EJU examinations, allowing students to build from foundational to applied skills step by step.

04Personalized University Admission Support

Homeroom teachers provide career guidance tailored to each student's goals and Japanese language proficiency. Through school selection, application document review, personal statement writing, and interview practice, we support each student in achieving their individual goals.

05ICT Environment Supporting Learning

Our school utilizes ICT tools such as electronic whiteboards and learning apps to create an environment where students can learn effectively. We conduct lessons that incorporate visual and digital teaching materials to deepen students' understanding.

0606 An Environment Where You Can Learn in a Multicultural Setting

Students from various countries and regions gather at our school, learning while being exposed to each other's cultures and values. By studying alongside peers with different backgrounds, students can develop not only Japanese language skills but also the understanding and communication skills needed in a multicultural society.

07Life Support and School Life for Worry-Free Learning

Our school has staff who can communicate in multiple languages. We have established a system where students can consult about daily life after arriving in Japan, residence procedures, and issues at school, supporting students in adapting to life in Japan and focusing on their studies. We also provide opportunities to experience Japanese society and culture through school events and extracurricular activities. Students can deepen their relationships with each other, develop the ability to use the Japanese they learned in the classroom in real situations, and enjoy a fulfilling school life.
